Petra Cortright uses Photoshop to break apart pictures, icons, videos, and GIFs sourced online, creating digital paintings with tangled webs of scribbles, swoops, and swipes. Recognizable images often emerge from her densely layered compositions—sculptures, antiques, vases, flowers, and animals—recalling the genres of landscape, still life, and abstraction. This 300-piece puzzle features her digital painting Creatine monohydrate destruction_da_tirdkind (2016).
